can a coach expected to bendover?

when you are selecting a coach for a game, what do you expect from him to do? coach that team right. But,later on, should he be expected to do things like, if a great player is ruining chances for whole team then coach should prepare some games just to give some ceremonials outings for that great player to make a glorious exit ?

I would like to hear, has any self-respecting coach done that for any player ( however great he may have been ), to give him ceremonial chances to make glorious exits.

lets assume the coach has no self-respect and doesnt mind bending over, but then how do you prepare a ceremonial tour for that great player? When the player himself has no desire to exit, everyone around the country is talking, lets not force him to retire like this, but no one seems to notice that player himself never has said he wants to retire? now how does brown nose coach handle a player like this? when the player is having awfull record match after match, month after month, for a year now.

I would really like to know how do the american coaches deal with "a" player like this ( say like american football player or great basket ball player), who has done great in past, but thinks himself of like a king, and lately has just given nothing but dirt like performances, and has nothing in mind about retiring, but the whole nation is still expecting from a coach to give him ceremonial outings(chances) to play and make a respectfull exit from his playing career, (even when the player himself never has mentioned anything like that).

really would like to know does this situation ever happen in USofA and Europe, are coaches expected to bendover suckup, get brown nose, and do what others want him to do?

hehe!
U asked the wrong person to comment. First of all, no one can play God. Who is the "coach" to dictate terms n conditions to a player? Who has given him the right to "give a ceremonial exit " to a player? Is that a part of his job? Since U asked about the coach, I will leave it at this. lets leave the player for another discussion :D

kapil just recently said, what is "being DONE" to ganguly is unfair, and i know everyone in whole country is cry a river at coach, he is treating him unfair, and should choose in playing eleven. duh, he is coach , what else is he there for then? give captain tips which player is in which form and what can the captian expect him to do, vice-versa, captain goes to coach asking, how much can he expect from this player at this position, and what merit should he choose his final 11.

funny that you forgot, saurav asked john to show his stats as equal and same as rahul dravids for a period, he wanted john to explain to media and selectors, his scores are same as rahul's.... straight away john explained him, rahul has scored them against team like west indies, south africa and australia, whereas, he scored them against zimbawae and bangladesh.

if coach has nothing to do with allowing player to have ceremonial outings, why did saurav felt approaching coach then, and more so, why is everyone blaming coach when saurav is not getting "chances" ? and asking coach to treat him differently on merit of his records, and just forget about the whole team and their winning chances for-a-while till saurav gets his ceremonial games or form back?
